Multimedia Workshops
Multimedia familiarization workshops are offered in September and January to students, employees and faculty members of the Faculty of Education. These workshops will exploit the various computing and multimedia technologies in the Centre in the goal of providing a more integrated learning environment for the end-user. A binder will be made available to give people an opportunity to register for various workshops during the months they are offered. Workshops are currently limited to between 5 and 10 people, however measures can be taken to offer more personalized workshops on an individual basis (at different times and on different subjects).

Personalized Workshops
Personalized workshops are offered all year long at the Centre on a per-request basis. Depending on the demand, workshops reserved for graduate students can also be arranged. We also offer collaboration with professors to provide specialized workshops for specific course activities. You may request a personalized workshop by writing to crfe-ferc@uOttawa.ca. When inquiring about a personalized workshop, please include:
- The number of people in your group who wish to take a workshop
- Two(2) tentative dates you’d like your workshop to take place (including the time).
- A description of the subjects you wish to cover in the workshop.
You will receive a response within a few days either confirming one of your dates or offering alternative solutions. Finally, the person responsible for organizing the workshop can clarify the subject matter and provide you with complementary resources.

Other Workshops Available at the Resource Centre
Workshops on general orientation to the Resource Centre as well as an introduction to documentary research are offered each fall at the Centre. Further details concerning these workshops will be available on the Resource Centre's website in August.

- The University of Ottawa's Computing and Communications Services offer computer training sessions for a variety of applications such as Access, Dreamweaver, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and many others.

- The Student Academic Success Service (SASS), in collaboration with faculties / schools and various services on campus offers success services to University of Ottawa students. This includes workshops, job fairs, parctical guides and counselling.
