    This web site is developed by the Ontario Ministry of Education and TFO.  It provides online resources for elementary teachers and students, mainly on Literacy , Numeracy and Daily Physical Activity (DPA). You will find videos of teachers in action, activity sheets, lesson plans and more teaching resources. A treasure of resources!

    E-Learning Ontario is a Ministry of Education’s project that provides tools to school boards to offer e-learning courses and educational resources to students and teachers. There is a lot of information about the Ontario E-Learning Strategy.  Very interesting!

    The Website of the Ontario Software Acquisition Program Advisory Committee offers to Ontario teachers, information concerning the Ministry of Education licensed software; software that supports the new Ontario Curriculum. It also provides learning material created by educators who have used Ministry licensed software in their classrooms as well as technical documentation on the use of these various software products.

    This web site provides teachers with educational materials based on data and records of the Archives of Ontario. It provides classroom-ready, curriculum-based lessons plans for grades 7, 9 and 10 in history and geography in Ontario. There are more than 20,000 photographs covering a variety of subject areas in the Archives Visual Database and 700 images in the Government of Ontario Art Collection Database. It’s a great opportunity for the teachers to explore the history of the province of Ontario, using documents of the past as a reference point.

    In this Learning Centre, teachers and students will find websites, educational tools, and digitized primary sources (printed documents, diaries, maps, illustrations, paintings, manuscripts, and printed and recorded music) from the LAC holdings. Teachers will also find lesson plans, ideas and activities for the classroom, quizzes, games and guides on using primary sources. These resources have been developed for students ranging from kindergarten all the way to grade 12. Students will have an opportunity to discover fantastic web sites, designed specifically for them as well as various suggestions for reading material. Within the LAC, interesting sites such as Backcheck : hockey for kids, Bon appétit! A Celebration of Canadian Cookbooks, Award-Winning Books and more are awaiting your discovery!

    This site from Statistics Canada provides various educational resources related to Canadian statistics for both current and future teachers. Included you will find links to lesson plans and data related to various subjects (math, history, geography, arts, etc.) as well as specific teacher’s kits which include accompanying articles and graphs for presentation in most elementary, intermediate and secondary schools classrooms. Make statistics fun for you and your students by using the resources available on this site!
