Tables and work areas
The Center contains nearly 25 work areas for groups of 3 to 10 people. Jiffy poles (with electrical outlets) are scattered throughout the Centre to power personnal laptop computers, please use these electrical outlets to avoid unplugging the Centre's appliances. Wireless Internet is available everywhere in Lamoureux Hall. Many computer and multimedia workstations are also available in the Centre, please see the Computer and multimedia resources for more details.
Computer Labs
Each laboratory in the Centre (248, 250, 251) is connected to a multimedia podium, which contains an amplifier and a VCR all connected to a computer and an LCD projector. Please consult the Computer and multimedia resources page for more details concerning the software and system specifications of the computers.
LMX 248 and 251
Each of the two labs contains 30 IBM computers and approximately 40 chairs. One of the workstations in LMX 248 is wheelchair accessible.
LMX 250
This lab contains 25 flat-pannel Macintosh computers and approximately 35 chairs. One of the workstations is wheelchair accessible.
LMX 260
This laboratory is reserved for Faculty of Education graduate students. It contains 20 IBM computers and 1 Macintosh, with the same number of chairs. There is no LCD projector, screen, podium or whiteboards in this room.
Printer and Documentation Room
LMX 249
This room contains a RELMON printer. Check the Services section for more information.
The room also houses free documents for distribution to Faculty of Education students and staff. These documents are Curriculum, Exemplars and other Ministry of Education documents as well as the Ontario Teachers College Magazine Professionnally Speaking.
Storage for students is also available in this room, please inquire at circulation desk.
Multiple use room
LMX 259
This room can seet 10 people and may be reserved at the circulation desk. Note that you have to show you ID card (employee or student) in order to obtain the key. Since the key is registered to your library record it has to be returned to circulation desk on time, late fees are $ 1 per hour.
