Priorities

In order to make the best use of available funds, the Faculty Research Committee will assign priorities to submissions according to the following order:

1. Projects submitted by a new professor of the Faculty of Education

Criteria:
Hold a doctorate for three years or less; or hold a tenure-track appointment for three years or less.

2. Projects submitted by established researchers, based on their research portfolio excellence

Criteria:
The research portfolio should include the following:

• constant production of research year after year;
• quality production in the researcher's area of specialization;
• at least two to three refereed publications during the previous three years, with significant contribution from the researcher requesting funds (one of which should be in a refereed scholarly journal).

Criteria:
Projects that include the participation of one or more members of other faculties of the University of Ottawa, of other universities or external organizations. The projects must include financial contribution of partners.

3. Collaborative research projects in areas related to education

4. Projects that involve financing shared by external funding sources

Criteria:
financial contribution of an external organization.
