Assistance for organization of conferences on campus

Funding is available (to a maximum of $3,000 from the Faculty) for the organization of conferences on campus.The Faculty will finance only a part of the expenses. The organizers of the conferences must be able to count on other sources of financing (in addition to IRND). Each request must demonstrate how the scientific or professional character of the conference will contribute to research or training within the Faculty. If the Research Committee recommends the request, it may be forwarded to the IRND Assistance Program for Organization of Conferences on Campus. Applications for the organization of conferences may involve one or more research assistantship positions.

Deadlines for applications

It is not possible to submit a grant application directly to IRND. The Research Committee of the Faculty must evaluate all applications before being forwarded to the IRND. All applications to the IRND must be accompanied by a Form U. Applications for IRND Funds completed and signed by the vice-dean (research). Professors of the Faculty who accept a IRND grant must consult the appropriate documentation of the University of Ottawa Research Grants and Ethics Services in relation to the special requirements of these programs.
