Lorna McLean is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. Her reseach interests include Citizenship, Gender, "Race", History, Social Studies, Peace and Global Education.

Her teaching fields are Citizenship and Education; History of Education; Politics and Education; Social Contexts of Education; Global Education; and Social Studies

2008-       Member of the Steering Committee for the Campaign for Global Education

2007-       Co-ordinator of a bilingual research group comprised of professors and graduate students in the Faculty of Education who meet monthly for presentations on research related to Social Justice and Global Education.

2003-       Member of the CIDA funded “Developing a Global Perspective for Educators/Développement d’une perspective globale pour enseignants et enseignantes,”  Faculty of Education, University of Ottawa . Annual events include an Institute, Retreat, Resource Fair, workshops, film series, keynote speakers, and focus group discussions.
