Representative of Canada's two official linguistic communities, the Faculty of Education of the University of Ottawa offers programs of study at the masters and doctoral levels in both French and English.  The Faculty also houses pre-service teacher education programs and in-service professional development certificate programs in both languages.

The Faculty of Education is a prominent centre of research that is strongly commited to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the field of education.  To this end all of its professors are actively engaged in an array of inter-disciplinary national and international research projects. 

The Faculty strives toward leadership in the field of education through collaboration with other postsecondary institutions as well as many diverse partners working in the field of education nationally and internationally.
