Educating for Peace and Global Citizenship: Conversation, Pedagogy and Curriculum
Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4, 2008
Developing a Global Perspective for Educators aims to integrate the themes of peace and justice, human rights, environmental sustainability and international development into educational curricula and practice, and thus instills a commitment to support Canada's efforts abroad and at home among teachers and students.
The 2008-2009 initiative is multifaceted and stems from an increased commitment and expertise of the Faculty of Education to promote the knowledge, skills and attitudes of educators to work in an increasingly diverse and global community.
Sponsored by the Faculty of Education of the University of Ottawa and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
