Our Programs
Teacher Education
This is a one-year full-time program offered at the Ottawa campus that prepares students to teach in elementary or secondary schools.
It leads to a baccalaureate in education (BEd) from the University of Ottawa and a recommendation for certification by the Ontario College of Teachers, valid in Ontario schools where English is the language of instruction.
Native Teacher Education
The University offers a two-year community-based Native Teacher Education Program (NTEP) for the primary/junior level.
It leads to a baccalaureate in education (BEd) or a certificate in education from the University of Ottawa. Upon successful completion of the BEd degree requirements, candidates are recommended for certification by the Ontario College of Teachers.
