Part II, Module 6: Communication

At the conclusion of this module participants will:

1. See the cause and effect between leadership styles and abilities to prevent, manage and intervene in a crisis situation;
2. understand the importance of sustaining collaborative spirit with the school council, the school board, the trustees, the school community and the community in order to develop a school plan to design and/or enhance the school profile in the community;
3. understand the importance of creating communication plans using a variety of strategies for different stakeholders. They will possess the skills to elaborate a sound communication plan in a crisis situation;
4. understand the importance of their own professional development in keeping abreast with the many different and changing facets of society and education.
