The Lionel-Desjarlais Society
Reflecting the commitment and accomplishments of this esteemed educator, the Lionel-Desjarlais Society aims to promote innovative research and leadership in education, particularly by supporting scholarly excellence among students. This notable Society, established in 1996, reunites alumni and friends of the Faculty of Education who wish to give their support by donating $500 or more.
Distinguished Members of the Society are invited to an annual recognition event and are entitled to subscriptions to University publications as well as complimentary passes and tickets for theatrical performances, music recitals, and sporting events. A special certificate and pin is also presented to attest membership to the Society.
We invite Faculty of Education alumni and friends to become members by pledging a minimum of $500 to the Society in the form of:
- Annual cash contributions;
- Bequests in will, revocable trusts and other estate plans;
- Stocks, bonds or mutual funds.
